Lambrusco Mantovano IGP in honor to the most famous medieval countness Matilde of Canossa.
She had a key role in fight between the Papacy and the Empire around 11th and 12th Century. She reclaimed our lands around San Benedetto Po and helped the territory with the cultivation of vines.
Rosso Matilde is a blend of Salamino and Ancellotta grapes. It has a ruby red colour with violet highights and an appealing pinkish foam. The nose provides intense and fragrant aromas of violet and cherry. It develops firmly through the palate while expressing silkiness and a lively fruitness.
An elegant lambrusco perfect with tortelli di zucca and risotto. Good food-pairing with white meat, roast, plates of cheeses and hams.
